Meghan was born and raised in Plant City, Florida and moved to Orlando in 2018 to pursue a degree at the University of Central Florida. Her SLU Journey began the summer after her eighth-grade year, when she attended SLU 101 with her student ministry and attended 201 and 301 in the following summers. As she will tell you, SLU drastically impacted her life and made her look at leadership in a different way from then on. She learned the importance of time and task management, that leadership really does begin at the feet of Jesus, and everyone is capable of being a great leader if they are only given the tools and encouragement to do so. She has stayed involved with SLU by being a SLU Ambassador for five years and serving as a summer staff member at various programs.
Meghan graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and focused on Hospitality and Event Management and Psychology, and received a minor in Nonprofit Management. During her time at UCF, she was a student leader in the on-campus ministry, Cru, worked part-time as a Ministry Assistant with her local church, and worked part-time as an advisor in her major. Meghan loves being a Knight and is always willing to have a conversation about how great UCF is.
Meghan is someone who loves to be around people and can be happy doing any activity as long as she is surrounded with friends. She loves watching sunsets, playing Dungeons and Dragons, spending the day at Disney, enjoying a cup of coffee at new coffee shops, discovering new foodie places to enjoy, and going to the movies. Meghan has had a dream to work for SLU since 2015 and is looking forward to watching how the Lord moves through SLU over these next years.
