A native Floridian, Nikki graduated with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with a focus in public service from Florida State University in 2001 (Go Noles!). She then went on to serve a year with the AmeriCorps program, City Year, where she taught in Washington D.C.’s inner city before getting her Masters of Public Administration from George Washington University in 2004. She is passionate about issues affecting young people – specifically in regards to leadership, service, and health and safety topics.
As a graduate of the SLU 101, 201, and 301 programs, Nikki first started on staff with SLU in 1998 as a summer intern. Twenty years later, she is still around and believes she has the best job on the planet. She currently serves as SLU’s COO and Program Coordinator for the SLU 201 – 401 programs. Nikki is known around the office for her superhero capes and machete collection and keeps herself entertained with her favorite hobbies- such as backpacking, camping, cooking, and playing with her two awesome kids, Mackenzie and Tucker. Nikki is married to her best friend, Brady Hoffpauir and they are members of Carmel Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina where they serve in the student ministry.
